Gagan Tent & Caterars

Gagan Tent & Caterars is situated at Rohini Sector 15, G 12/73. If you look at our storage area, you’ll see heaps of folded tents, metal poles, and big cooking pots. This business is all about being on the move. We spend half our time here and the other half out at different sites setting things up for neighbors. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and physical labor. When there is a wedding or a local function, we are usually the ones dragging out the carpets and setting up the chairs. Our office in Sector 15 is where we manage the bookings and keep the gear when it’s not being used. It’s not a very quiet job at all. There is always the clanging of metal or the sound of people loading up the tempo for a gig. We are a small crew, mostly just local guys who know how to tie a knot or stir a massive vat of dal without making a mess. The walls of our place are covered with calendars and scrawled notes about dates and locations. We don't have a glossy brochure or a fancy showroom to show off to anyone. People usually find us because they saw our work at a neighbor's party and asked for the address. It’s honest, hard work and we get pretty tired by the end of the day. But that is how the tent and catering business goes. We just make sure there is enough shade and enough food for whoever is hosting the event. It keeps us very busy.
