Gagan Communication

Gagan Communication is located at Site 1, shop number 595 in Vikaspuri. It is a busy part of the city, and our shop is right in the middle of all the action. I usually arrive early to beat the heat and get the fans going. The shop is packed with all sorts of things related to phones—cables, covers, and those small parts for repairs. There is a workbench in the back where I spend a lot of my time with a magnifying glass and a soldering iron. The front of the shop has a glass cabinet that stays a bit smudged no matter how many times I clean it. People stop by on their way home to get their phones fixed or to buy a new charger because their old one broke. We have a small plastic clock on the wall that runs five minutes fast, but I leave it that way so I don't run behind. The noise from the traffic on the main road is constant, but it becomes like background music after a while. Sometimes the neighbor from the next shop comes over for a glass of water and we talk about how the business is going. It is not a very big operation, just a one-room shop where we handle whatever comes through the door. We stay until the last customer is gone, which is usually quite late. It’s a simple life.
