Fine Tents & Trading Co

Our shop, Fine Tents & Trading Co, is over at Guru Nanak Nagar, C 9/213. We work with tents and do a bit of trading on the side to keep things moving. It is a bit of a dusty business because of all the fabric and iron poles we have to move around every day. The warehouse space is usually packed with rolls of thick cloth and metal frames stacked against the walls. When there is a big event or a local gathering, we get really busy loading up the rickshaws and trucks for delivery. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning or soft chairs. We mostly sit on stools near the entrance so we can see the deliveries coming in and out. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy canvas and making sure nothing is torn or stained. We’ve been in Guru Nanak Nagar for quite some time now, so people around here know to come to us when they need a shelter set up for a family function. We don't use big words or try to sell people things they don't really need. If a tent is too big for their space, we just tell them honestly. It’s about being practical and getting the job done before the sun goes down. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially during the monsoon rains, but we manage to keep the stock dry. It’s just me and a couple of helpers trying to keep things going.
