Down in Masjid Moth, Greater Kailash II, we have our small setup for watches and phones. It’s a bit of a mixed bag here at Era Time. You’ll see old wall clocks waiting to be fixed next to some of the latest mobile phones. We don't have a huge space, so we have to be smart about where we put things. The workbench is usually cluttered with tiny screws and tools that only we know how to use. People from the nearby houses come in because they know we’ve been here a while. They bring in a watch that stopped working or a phone with a screen that’s gone dark. We take a look, tell them what’s wrong, and get to work. It’s not a corporate service center with tickets and numbers; you just talk to us directly across the counter. Sometimes we have a backlog of repairs, and the shelf gets a bit crowded. We try to keep the shop tidy, but when you’re working with small parts all day, it’s hard. The neighborhood is nice, and we like the regulars who stop by just to say hello or ask for the time. We don’t spend money on big ads. Our work is just about being here every day, opening the doors, and fixing things that people rely on. It’s a quiet life, mostly, punctuated by the occasional busy afternoon.
