Electronic Centre

We are located underground in Palika Bazar, at shop number 258. If you’ve ever been down here, you know it’s like a maze with no windows. You lose track of time because the lights are always the same, whether it’s noon or night. It’s always crowded, especially on weekends when the students come through looking for gadgets. We sell all sorts of electronics, from speakers to small appliances. The air conditioning in the bazaar is okay, but it gets stuffy when the crowds are really heavy. We spend a lot of time demonstrating how things work for people who are just browsing. Our shop is packed tight with inventory, so you have to be careful where you step. I usually have the radio playing in the background to pass the time. Dealing with the bargaining is the most tiring part of the job, as everyone wants a better price. We’ve been in this specific spot for years and have seen plenty of other shops come and go. It’s a different world down here compared to the streets of Connaught Place above us. Sometimes the fire alarms go off by mistake and everyone gets a bit nervous, but it’s usually nothing. We just keep the shelves stocked and wait for the next person to walk in. It gets pretty loud when all the shopkeepers are shouting about their deals at the same time. By the end of the shift, my ears are ringing.
