You can find us down in Azadpur Sabzi Mandi, specifically in Village Bhadola. Since we are near the mandi, our day starts much earlier than most people's. While the trucks are unloading vegetables, we are getting the shop ready. We call it a music center because back in the day, we used to do a lot of song downloads and memory card filling. Now, it’s mostly about mobile phones, but the name stuck. People coming to the market often stop by to get their phones recharged or to buy a new pair of earphones to listen to music while they work. The air around here always smells like fresh produce and earth. It’s a gritty, hardworking area, and our shop reflects that. We don’t have fancy glass displays or bright neon lights. It’s just a wooden counter, some stools, and a lot of spare parts. We fix a lot of basic phones that people use for work—phones that take a lot of beating in the market. Sometimes the dust from the mandi gets into the charging ports, so we spend a lot of time just cleaning things out. It’s a simple life here, serving the people who keep the city fed. We try to be quick with repairs because nobody around here has much time to sit and wait. We usually close up once the main market activity dies down for the evening.
