Delhi Press Group is situated at J-30 in Lakshmi Nagar. If you’ve ever been to Lakshmi Nagar, you know it’s one of the most crowded places in New Delhi. The streets are narrow and there’s always something happening. Our office is right in the middle of all that chaos. We deal with a lot of paper and ink, so there’s always that specific smell in the air when you walk in. It’s a bit of an old-fashioned place, with stacks of magazines and newspapers piled up in the corners. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building shows its age a little bit, but it’s sturdy. The commute here on the metro is how most of us get to work because driving is just too much of a headache. We have a small window that looks out onto the street, and it's funny to watch the world go by while we’re stuck inside proofreading or checking layouts. We don't have any fancy coffee machines, just a kettle and some tea bags. The lights flicker sometimes when the power fluctuates, but we just keep working. It’s a lot of long hours, especially when we are close to a deadline. We aren't trying to be the flashiest; we just want to get the next issue out on time. Lakshmi Nagar is our home, and we’ve gotten used to the noise and the pace of it all over the years.
