Communication Accessories & Repairs

Old Lajpat Rai Market is a noisy place and we are right in the middle of it at 889. Our shop is small and we have stuff piled up almost to the ceiling. Communication Accessories & Repairs is just what the name says. We spend our days looking at broken phones and untangling wires. It’s not fancy here. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint but we are usually too busy to bother with that. Most of the time there is a radio playing in the background or just the sound of people shouting outside in the market lanes. We get a lot of people looking for specific chargers or those little bits for their electronics that no one else seems to have. Sometimes we can fix things right away and other times it takes a few days if we have to find a part from another shop nearby. The tea stall around the corner is where we get our energy from. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here. It feels like a small village even though it is a giant market. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just find us by walking past or hearing about us from a neighbor. My desk is usually covered in tiny screws and pieces of plastic. You have to be careful not to sneeze or they all go flying. It’s just how we work every day.
