Color Opera Creation

Color Opera Creation is down in the basement here in Kalkaji. It’s a bit of a quiet spot, which is nice because the main road gets so noisy during the day. We are right near the HDFC Bank, so that’s how most people find us if they get lost. Being in a basement means the lighting has to be just right, especially for what we do. We spend a lot of time looking at screens and papers. There are usually a few of us here, and we keep the kettle going for tea pretty much all afternoon. The space is a bit cramped with all the equipment and rolls of stuff lying around, but it works for us. Sometimes it feels like we live here more than at home. Kalkaji is a busy area, so there is always someone popping in to ask a question or check on something. We don't really do the whole fancy office thing. It’s just a place where we get the work done. The walk from the Metro isn’t too bad, though in the summer it’s a killer. We’ve been at B 78 A for a while now and the neighbors are used to us moving things in and out at odd hours. It’s not a big corporate setup, just a local place where we handle things as they come. I guess you could say we just like the creative side of things without any of the extra fuss that usually comes with it.
