Safdarjung Enclave is a busy part of town and we’ve been tucked away here for a while. We aren't one of those loud, neon-lit places you see in the mall. We’re a bit more low-key. The furniture is a mix of things we’ve picked up over the years and the walls have some scratches here and there. We like it that way because it feels like a real place where you can actually relax. The bar is usually where we spend most of our time, cleaning glasses and checking the taps. It gets pretty busy on the weekends and sometimes the music is a bit too loud because someone fiddled with the knobs, but we fix it eventually. We don't have a dress code or any of that stuff. You can come in straight from work or in your sandals and it’s all fine. The kitchen is small, so sometimes the food takes a little longer than people expect, but nobody seems to mind too much. We focus on getting the drinks right and making sure everyone feels okay while they’re here. It’s a lot of late nights and cleaning up spills, but we enjoy the atmosphere. It’s just a local spot for people in Safdarjung to hang out and forget about their day for a bit. We don't make a big deal out of it; we just open the doors and see who shows up. It is a lot of work but it beats sitting in an office all day long.
