Tequila

It’s a bit tucked away in Vikaspuri at G 19-20. Most nights it starts off pretty quiet, just us wiping down the tables and checking the fridge. Then the music starts and people show up. It’s not a huge place, so it feels full quite fast. We have some neon lights that flicker sometimes, and the floor is a bit dark, but that is just the vibe of Tequila. People come here when they are done with work or just want to sit somewhere that isn't their own living room. We have had the same staff for a bit now, so we know who wants what usually. It gets loud, especially on the weekends, and sometimes we have to tell people to settle down a bit. The kitchen is small, so things take time when everyone orders at once. We don't try to be like those big fancy clubs in the malls. We are just a local spot where you can get a drink and some food without too much fuss. The neighborhood around here is mostly residential, so we try to keep the noise from leaking out too much late at night. Sometimes the AC acts up when it’s forty degrees outside, but we manage. It’s just how it is running a place in West Delhi. You just show up, do the work, and hope everyone has a decent time without too much trouble.
