The Jazz Lounge

The Jazz Lounge is tucked away in Saket, and it took us a lot of work to get the place ready for people. We aren't a huge venue, just a spot where we put out some tables and chairs and set up a small stage in the corner. Saket is always busy, so we wanted somewhere that felt a bit different from the main roads. We spend a lot of time moving speakers around and trying to get the sound to behave. It isn't always perfect. Some nights the acoustics are a bit tricky, but we just deal with it as it comes. We have a small group of people working here, mostly just folks who like music and do not mind staying up late. The kitchen is small, so we don't have a massive menu, just enough to keep people going while they listen to the bands. We do not have any corporate owners or anything like that behind us. It is just a local business trying to keep the lights on and the music playing. We see a lot of the same faces every weekend. Sometimes we have to fix a chair or paint over a scuff on the wall, but that is part of the job. It’s not a polished place, but it is ours, and we are here most nights making sure everything stays on track.
