Lizard Lounge

If you find yourself in South Extension Part II, you might have walked past us at E 5. We’ve been running the Lizard Lounge here for some time. It's a straightforward spot. We have tables, a bar, and some music. People from the neighborhood and those out shopping often drop by. It’s not one of those places where you have to dress up just to get a glass of water. We keep things pretty casual. The staff has been around for a bit, so they know how to handle the rush. South Ex can get pretty crowded, especially on the weekends, so we try to keep things moving. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It's just a small crew making sure the drinks are cold and the food is hot. Sometimes we run out of something on the menu, but that’s just how it goes. We try to keep the place tidy, though it shows its age in a few spots. It’s got a bit of character, I guess you could say. You come in, find a corner, and stay as long as you want. We aren't trying to change the world, just providing a place to hang out. Most days are steady. We open up, get things ready, and wait for the first people to walk in. It's a simple way to run a business. We focus on getting the orders right and making sure the music isn't too loud so people can actually talk. It's been our life for years.
