Chotu Bhai Photo State & Telecom is on that road in Shakarpur that everyone calls the Chotu Bhai Lemon Wala Road. It’s just off the main Vikas Marg. We have a couple of those big photocopy machines that stay warm all day because they are almost always running. The shop usually smells like ozone and toner ink, which is something you get used to after working here for a while. Besides the copies, we do mobile recharges and sell some basic stationery like pens and notebooks. It’s a busy spot because students from the nearby areas come in clusters, wanting ten copies of this or that paper right away for their exams. The machine sometimes jams, and we have to open the side panels to pull out the crumpled paper, which is a bit of a headache when you have a line of people. We also have a small glass counter for the telecom side of things. The road outside is usually packed with bikes and people stopping for a quick drink at the nearby stalls. We have been here long enough that the road name is basically our landmark now. It’s a small, practical place with stacks of white paper everywhere and some wires hanging from the ceiling for the internet connection. We don't have a big mission; we just make the copies, take the money, and keep the machines working so we can do it all again the next day.
