Chotey Lal Sweets & Tent House

Chotey Lal Sweets & Tent House is located in Dwarka Vipin Garden, right on Gali No 20 at number 67. We have a bit of a double life here because on one side we are making laddoos and barfi, and on the other, we are loading up big heavy tents and poles for parties. It gets very chaotic, especially during the wedding season when everyone wants their sweets and their decorations at the exact same time. The kitchen is always hot and smells like sugar and fried ghee, which I suppose is a good thing. In the back, the guys are always folding up the big canvas sheets or checking the lights for the next event. Gali No 20 is a busy street and sometimes our trucks block the way, which makes the neighbors a bit annoyed, but we try to move as fast as we can. We have been part of this Dwarka neighborhood for a long time and we know most of the families around here. They come to us when they have something to celebrate or when they just want a snack in the evening. We don't have a big polished brand, we are just local people helping other local people with their functions. It is a lot of hard work and late nights, but seeing a big tent set up and a tray of fresh sweets makes it feel alright.
