Cheap & Best Store

The Cheap & Best Store is right there at Bhagat Singh Market 145. The name pretty much tells you what we are about, though we didn't spend too much time thinking it up. We just wanted people to know they could get their daily things without spending a fortune. Our shop is full of all kinds of household items. It’s the kind of place where you come in for one thing and end up leaving with five because you saw something useful on the shelf. Bhagat Singh Market is always buzzing, and being at number 145 puts us right in the middle of it. We have bags of flour, soaps, snacks, and whatever else people need for their kitchens. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to fit as much stock as possible on the shelves. I think that’s part of the charm, though. It feels like a real local market store. We don't have a computer system that’s all high-tech; we just keep track of things the old-fashioned way. The customers are mostly families from the surrounding blocks. They know they can find us open early and we stay open until the market starts to quiet down at night. It’s a simple life, stocking shelves and chatting with the regulars who come in every day. We just try to keep the prices fair and the shelves full.
