If you walk through Tekhand Main Market near the Durga Mandir in Okhla, you will find our shop, Chaurasiya Telecom. It is a busy spot because the market is always full of people buying vegetables or clothes. We opened up here because there are so many people living nearby who always need something for their phones. Whether it is a new SIM card or a screen protector that isn't scratched up, we keep it all in the drawers. The bells from the temple nearby ring in the mornings and evenings, which is a nice sound to work to. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just keep going. We have a small workbench in the back where the tools stay. It’s usually a bit messy with wires and tiny screws, but that’s just how repair work is. We don’t try to act like a big corporate store. We just talk to people like neighbors because they are. Some customers have been coming to us since we first started. They trust us to be honest about what is wrong with their device. It’s a simple life running a shop in Okhla, and we are happy to be here. We spend a lot of time just chatting with people who drop in while they are doing their daily shopping. It makes the day go by faster when you have good company while you work.
