Big B

Out here in Bharat Nagar, near New Friends Colony, our little shop Big B sits at A-19. It’s a pretty straightforward place. If you’ve ever walked down this street, you know it can get a bit crowded during the afternoons. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. It’s just a small space where we get our daily tasks done. We have a couple of guys working here who have been around since we first opened the doors. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't really gotten around to it yet because there’s always something else to do. We get all kinds of people coming in from the colony. Some are in a hurry, others want to chat for twenty minutes while we finish up their work. We don't have a fancy waiting area with magazines or coffee, just a plastic bench near the door. The fan makes a bit of a clicking noise when it's on high, but it keeps us cool enough. We keep track of everything in old ledgers and on one computer that takes a minute to start up in the morning. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it works for us and the people who live nearby. We usually close up when the sun goes down and the street lights start flickering on. It’s just a normal local business that exists in the heart of this neighborhood.
