Down in Maujpur, specifically Krishna Gali No. 5, you'll find us at Bhardwaj Tent & Caters. We’ve been operating out of Adarsh Mohhala 698/4C for years now. It’s a family thing, really. We spend most of our time moving heavy poles, big canvas sheets, and those giant cooking pots used for weddings. When there is a marriage or a small function in the neighborhood, we are usually the ones lugging the chairs around and setting up the stage. It is hard work and the sun gets very hot in the afternoons, but it is what we know. Our storage space is packed with all sorts of stuff. Sometimes it's a bit of a mess, trying to find the right color drapes or making sure the spoons are all washed and polished. We aren't some big corporate event planner with a fancy office. We are just local guys who know how to set up a tent so it doesn't fall down if the wind picks up. The food part is busy too. We have the big burners and the huge vessels for making dal, sabzi, and rice for hundreds of people. We’ve fed a lot of families over the years. It gets hectic during the wedding season, and we probably don't sleep as much as we should then. But when the lights go on and the guests start eating, it feels like we did okay. We just do our part for the community. We live right nearby, so we are always around if someone needs to talk about an upcoming date. It's a local life and we like it that way.
