Hari Nagar is a decent place to have a shop like Babboo Music House. We are over at CB-8, and you can usually hear us before you see us. There’s almost always someone in the back trying to tune a guitar or testing out a drum kit. It’s not a quiet environment, but that’s the nature of the business. We have rows of instruments hanging on the walls, and honestly, some of them have been there for a while gathering a little dust. We try to keep things clean, but it’s hard when people are always touching things. I started this place because I liked music, but now most of my time is spent fixing broken strings or helping parents find the cheapest option for their kid’s first lesson. We don't have any of those expensive marketing plans. People just know we are here. Sometimes the shop feels too small when three or four people are inside at once. We have to move the harmoniums around just to let someone walk past. It’s a bit of a squeeze, but it works for us. We stay open late most nights because that’s when people finish work and have time to stop by. It’s a steady kind of life. We don't promise anything grand, we just provide the instruments and the parts people are looking for.
