You can find us in the Munirka Hanuman Mandir Market, right at 92/2. It’s a place that’s always full of heavy fabric, iron poles, and bundles of rope. Since we are near the temple, there’s always some activity or the other going on around us. This work isn't for everyone because it involves a lot of lifting and being out in the heat. Our shop serves as a base where we keep the chairs stacked up high and the decorative cloths folded in big bundles. Sometimes the smell of the canvas is quite strong, especially when it’s been raining and we have to dry everything out. We spend our mornings checking the schedule and making sure we have enough light bulbs for whatever event is coming up next. It’s not a glamorous life; your hands get dirty and your back gets tired by the end of the shift. We’ve been in this market for a while, so we know the other shopkeepers pretty well. Most of the time, we are out on-site more than we are actually sitting in the office. The office itself is just a desk with a ledger and an old calendar on the wall. We don't bother with fancy decor here because the stuff we rent out takes up all the room anyway. It’s just honest work, putting up shelters for people’s weddings or local gatherings and making sure everything is tied down properly before the guests arrive.
