Arti Telecom

Arti Telecom is based in Okhla, over in Bharat Nagar at number 236. Okhla is a tough place to work sometimes because it's so industrial and fast-paced. Our building is right in the middle of all that action. We deal with telecom equipment and various accessories. It’s a lot of boxes moving in and out every day. The floors are concrete and they get pretty cold in the winter months. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s mostly just us handling the phones and the paperwork. Bharat Nagar has its own rhythm, and we’ve become part of it over the years. I spend a lot of time on the phone myself, talking to suppliers or trying to track down a specific part for someone. The walls in the shop are painted a dull white, and we’ve got shelves stacked all the way to the ceiling. Sometimes I worry the shelves might give out, but they’ve held up so far. We eat lunch at the small desk in the back, usually something brought from home. It’s a simple setup. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. We just show up at 236 Bharat Nagar, do the work, and go home. People in the area know us by name, which is the way we like it. There’s always someone coming in with a question about their signal or a broken handset.
