You’ll find us over at A-1/9 on the 100 Feet Road in Gokul Puri, Kabir Nagar. This area has its own pace, and we’ve been part of it for some time. We deal with fireworks, which means our business follows the seasons and the festivals. Most of the year, it’s about managing the stock and making sure everything is stored safely and kept dry. The shop itself is quite simple with sturdy walls and not much decoration. When festival time comes around, the whole atmosphere changes and things get very hectic. We spend long hours then, often skipping lunch just to keep up with the people coming in. The 100 Feet Road is wide, so there’s always a bit of a breeze, which is nice in the summer. We have to be very careful with how we handle things, so there’s a lot of rules we follow internally. It’s not like a regular grocery store where people come every day. We see familiar faces once or twice a year, and we remember what they liked last time. The floor is usually covered in bits of cardboard or packing paper. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here, even if we aren't all related. We just do our work and go home when the sun sets, unless it’s the peak season. During those busy times, we might have three or four extra people helping us move boxes and talk to customers. It is loud and colorful.
