Our place is tucked away in Jagatpuri Gali No 9, specifically at A/117. It’s one of those narrow streets where you have to be careful when a rickshaw comes from the other side. We handle a lot of distribution work, so there are always boxes stacked up in the corner. Sometimes the pile gets so high I worry it might tip over. We spend a lot of our time checking lists and making sure the right items go into the right bags. It’s not very exciting work, but it needs to be done right. The light in the back room is a bit dim, so we usually work near the front door where the sun hits. On rainy days, the lane outside gets muddy and we have to be careful not to get the boxes wet. We’ve been in this spot for a few years and the neighbors are good people. We don't have a big fancy storefront. It's just a door and some shelves and a lot of paperwork on the desk. My assistant is usually out on the scooter making deliveries while I stay back to manage the phone. It rings quite a bit, mostly people asking if their stuff has arrived yet. We just tell them the truth about the stocks. It’s a plain, honest way to make a living in this part of town. Ambica Agencies is just a simple office for getting the work done every day.
