Located at B 104 in Amrit Puri, right in the East of Kailash area, our shop is mostly a place for fixing things. We have been sitting at this same bench for a long time, surrounded by screwdrivers and spare parts for all kinds of mobile phones. The neighborhood is a mix of people always in a rush and others who have lived here forever. We get a lot of both. Most of our day is spent under the bright desk lamp, trying to figure out why a phone won't turn on or replacing a cracked screen for someone who dropped their device on the pavement. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be careful about where we put the repair jobs that are waiting to be picked up. We keep the old phones in a drawer in the back, mostly for parts we might need later. It's a bit messy with wires everywhere, but we know where everything is. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background to keep things from being too quiet. Customers usually lean on the glass counter and tell us how they broke their phone while we take a look at it. It’s an honest way to earn a living, just helping people get back to their calls and messages. We stay open until about eight every night, then we pack up the tools and head out for the day.
