Alpine Plaza

Alpine Plaza is just a small shop, number 15, right on Janpath. It’s a famous street, so we see a lot of different faces every single day. Some people are just tourists looking around, and others are regulars who have been coming to this part of Delhi for decades. The shop isn't very big, so we have to be smart about how we stack things. We spend a lot of time just rearranging the shelves to make sure everything fits. Janpath has a certain energy that you don't find anywhere else. There’s always someone selling something nearby and the smell of street food is everywhere. We keep our door open most of the time to let the breeze in, though it brings in the dust too. We aren't doing anything fancy here. We just sell what we have and talk to the people who walk in. Some days it’s very busy and we don’t even have time to sit down. Other days, when it’s raining, it’s just us watching the water run down the street. We’ve been in this specific spot for a long time. The floor tiles are a bit worn out from all the walking, but they have character. We don't have a website or a big marketing plan. We just show up in the morning, roll up the shutter, and see who the day brings to our counter. Sometimes the street performers outside get really loud, but it is just part of being on Janpath.
