Alok Mobile Center

We are over at K-26 on the Main Vasant Kunj Road in Mahipal Pur. It is a spot where the traffic never seems to stop moving, and we are right there in the thick of all that noise. The shop is mostly filled with mobile accessories, like lots of colorful rubber cases and screen protectors hanging on the side walls. We spend a lot of time cleaning fingerprints off the glass counters so people can see the phones clearly. People stop by while they are commuting to work or if they live in the small houses behind the main road. Sometimes a traveler from the airport nearby drops in because they forgot their phone charger in a hotel room. It is a small space, so we have to be very clever about where we put every single box. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit and wait for the next person to walk in. The air is always a bit full of dust from the road outside, but we keep the shop as clean as we can with a rag. We do not use any big fancy machines here, just some basic tools for fixing phones and a laptop for the records. It is not a complicated business at all. We just sell what people need for their mobiles and help them out when something breaks. When it gets dark, the lights from the street fill the shop and we wrap up.
