Al-Fisa Telecom

You can find Al-Fisa Telecom right here in the Niyariyan area near Ajmeri Gate. It’s always loud outside with the rickshaws and people rushing to the station. Our shop at 2812 is small but we fit a lot of things inside. Mostly we spend the day looking at mobile screens or trying to figure out why a battery won’t charge anymore. It gets pretty dusty with all the traffic, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the glass counters. People come in from the market nearby, usually in a hurry. We try to help them out quickly so they can get back to their day. It’s not a quiet job by any means. There’s always someone calling out or a phone ringing somewhere in the back. We’ve seen a lot of changes in the phones we fix over the years. They used to be simple but now they are like little computers that break if you look at them wrong. We don’t have any fancy uniforms or a front desk person. It’s just us sitting on stools behind the counter. Sometimes we have tea delivered from the stall across the lane and talk to the neighbors. It’s a tight space but it works for what we do. If you need a recharge or a new case, this is where we stay. We don't promise miracles, just that we will try our best with the tools we have on hand.
