Ajay Tent & Light House

We've been here at Lodhi Road for quite some time now, right in Khanna Market at number 118. It's a busy spot, especially when wedding season starts and everyone is looking for tents and lighting. We handle the heavy stuff, moving poles and canvas around every day. It’s not fancy work, just getting things set up so people have a place to gather. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, but we manage. People stop by the shop to talk about what they need for their functions, and we figure it out together. The lights we use have been around for a while, and we keep them in good shape. It gets loud around here with the traffic and all the people walking through the market, but that’s just how it is. We spend most of our mornings checking the fabric and making sure the bulbs aren't broken from the last job. Being in this part of Delhi means there’s always something happening nearby. We don’t have a big office or anything, just the space here in Khanna Market where we keep our gear and meet the locals. If you walk past 118, you’ll probably see us loading a truck or untangling some wires on the sidewalk. It’s a lot of physical labor, but we’re used to the heat and the dust. We just keep doing what we do every year. It has been our life for a long time.
