Wynbreg Allen School

Up here in Barlow Ganj, the weather really dictates how we run things at Wynbreg Allen School. When the mist rolls in, you can barely see the other side of the playground. It’s an old place, and you can feel it in the creaky floorboards and the way the stone buildings hold the cold. We spend a lot of time making sure the kids stay warm and that the heaters are actually working during the winter months. Life here is pretty structured because it has to be. We have the houses, the classrooms, and the common areas all spread out. It’s a lot of walking up and down hills. The staff lives close by, so we are always around if something goes wrong, like a pipe bursting or a student feeling unwell in the middle of the night. We don't have the flashy tech you see in big city schools, but we have plenty of space and fresh air. Most days are just about following the schedule and making sure the students are where they are supposed to be. It’s a bit of an isolated spot, but that helps everyone stay focused on their books. We just keep the routines going, season after season, and try to keep the place in one piece despite the heavy rain and the monkeys that occasionally cause trouble on the roof. It takes a certain kind of person to live up here year-round.
