Him Jyoti School

Him Jyoti School is out on Sahastradhara Road in Dehradun. This road has changed a lot over the years and it is much busier now than it used to be. The school sits on a good piece of land with a view of the hills. Most of our students live here with us, so the school is their home for most of the year. It is a place for girls, and we have a lot of different buildings for the dorms and the classrooms. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations or modern glass walls. The buildings are plain and practical. We have a kitchen that stays busy all day long, and you can usually smell whatever is cooking for dinner by late afternoon. The garden is nice, though we sometimes struggle to keep the weeds down during the monsoon season. We aren't a big commercial school. We just go about our business and focus on the girls. The staff here are like a big family because many of us live on the campus too. We don't use marketing talk or try to sell ourselves. People in Dehradun know us because we have been here on Sahastradhara Road for a long time. It is a quiet, hardworking environment where we just take things one day at a time. The mountain air is good for the students, and we try to make the most of the space we have.
