Kasiga School

You can find Kasiga School about five kilometers out in Rajpur, Dehradun. Being a bit away from the main city makes a difference in the air and the noise. We are up in the hills, so the weather is usually a bit cooler than down in the valley. The school is a big part of this area. We have various buildings spread out, and since we have students who stay here, it feels more like a small village than just a school. It is not a corporate setup at all. Things are a bit more relaxed here, though we keep a tight schedule for the students. The hills are right in our backyard, and sometimes you can see the mist rolling in over the playground. We have trees all over the property. The buildings are solid, made to last, but they aren't flashy. We deal with regular problems like leaky taps or the occasional monkey trying to get into the dining hall. The staff lives on or near the campus, so we are all pretty close. We don't really do much in the way of promotion. People know the school because of its location on the way up to the hills. We focus on the daily life of the students, from their breakfast to their evening study hours. It is a quiet life for the most part, away from the heavy traffic of Dehradun. We just keep things moving along day by day.
