Vantage Hall Girls Residential School

Our school is out on The Yellow Brick Road in Dehradun. It’s a residential place for girls, so it is more like a second home for them while they are here. The location is quite quiet compared to the main city areas, which is nice for the students who live on the grounds. We have the dorms and the classrooms all together, so it's a bit of a community on its own. People here spend a lot of time together, not just in the classes but during meals and in the evenings too. It’s a big responsibility, looking after everyone, but we’ve been at it for some time now. Dehradun has always been a place for schools, and we are just one part of that local tradition. We don't use big words to describe what we do. It’s just about making sure the girls have a safe place to stay and a good environment to study in. The road name always gets a few comments from visitors, but for us, it’s just the way to work. We have different staff members who handle the food, the cleaning, and the teaching. It takes a lot of people to keep a residential school moving. We are pretty busy most days, especially when the term starts and everyone arrives with their bags. It’s a regular life here, with its own routine and daily tasks that keep us moving forward.
