Fylfot Public School

We are right in Dehradun city, which means we are in the middle of everything. The school is surrounded by houses and shops on all sides. It is a bit of a tight space, but we have managed to make it work over the years. The entrance is right off the main street. When the school day begins, the whole street is filled with kids in their uniforms and vans dropping them off. It is a very lively scene every morning. Inside, the rooms are a bit smaller than those in the rural schools, but we keep them tidy. We have a small courtyard where we do the assembly and sometimes a bit of exercise. The noise of the city carries over the walls sometimes, but you get used to it after a while. The teachers here have a lot of experience. Some of them have taught the parents of the kids who are in class right now. It is that kind of place where families stay for generations. We do not have a big budget for fancy advertisements, so we just rely on people knowing us from word of mouth. The walls have some old photos of past students and some awards from local competitions. We just focus on the daily lessons. There is always a lot of paperwork to do in the office. We try to keep the parents updated on how their children are doing. It is just a regular city school.
