The Doon Global School

The Doon Global School is out on Chakrata Road. We are at the 14Th Milestone. It is a bit of a drive from the main city. The area is called Jhajra and our mail goes to the P O there. Being further out means we have more space. You can see the hills in the distance on a clear day. The road out here can be busy with trucks and buses going past the 14Th Milestone. But once you get inside the gates it is much quieter. We have some open ground which is nice. The building is fairly large. We spend a lot of time just keeping up with the cleaning. Jhajra is a growing area but it still feels a bit rural. There are fields nearby. Sometimes the cows wander onto the road and slow down traffic. We just take it in stride. The Doon Global School has been at this location for some time now. We have a lot of windows that let in the light. It gets very bright in the mornings. We don't use a lot of corporate talk here. We just focus on the day-to-day things. Like making sure the water tanks are full and the grass is cut. It’s a practical way of doing things. Chakrata Road is the main artery for us. Everything we need comes up that road. We like being a bit away from the crowd.
