Shri Guru Ram Rai Public School

Our school is located on Sahastradhara Road in the Kandholi area of Dehradun. It is a well-known part of the city and the road is always busy with people going up towards the hills for the weekend. The school has been here for a good while now. We have a gate that opens onto the main road, and a long driveway that leads to the buildings. There are trees around the perimeter which make the place look nice and green. The classrooms are spread out and have plenty of benches for the students. We have a lot of children coming from the nearby residential colonies. You can hear them laughing and talking long before they reach the classrooms in the morning. The teachers have their own little room where they keep all their files and have their tea. It is a very normal school environment for this part of Dehradun. We do not have anything very modern or high-tech that we show off to visitors. It is mostly just books, blackboards, and a lot of writing in notebooks. The weather here is usually pleasant, but we do get some heavy rain in the monsoon. That is when we have to make sure the kids stay dry in the hallways. We follow a strict timetable because it is the only way to get through everything. No one here is trying to be fancy. We just work hard and make sure the students learn.
