Shemford School Zone

Shemford School Zone is over at 171, Mandir Lane in Dehradun City. Being in a lane means it’s a bit tighter than the big schools on the outskirts. We are right in the heart of the city, Dehradun - 248001. You have to navigate through some traffic to get here, but the parents are used to it by now. The building is tucked away, and we use every bit of space we have for the kids. There are colorful drawings on the walls that the students made themselves. It’s a bit noisy because the houses are close by, but that’s just city life. We don't have huge sprawling lawns, but we have rooms where the kids sit and learn their lessons. The teachers here are local people who walk or take their scooters to work. We spend a lot of time organizing the bags and the books because things can get messy with so many children in one spot. It’s an honest kind of place. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. Just a school in Dehradun where people bring their children every morning. Sometimes the mountain rain comes down hard and we have to make sure all the windows are shut tight. It’s just a regular school day for us, year after year, right here on Mandir Lane. We keep things simple and try to stay organized as much as possible.
