Sateshwari Devi Memorial Public School

Our school sits right on Haridwar Road in the Raiwala area of Dehradun. If you are driving toward the hills, you will likely pass us. It is a nice enough spot, though the road gets quite busy with all the cars and buses heading out of town. We have been operating here for a while now, and the school is mostly filled with kids from the nearby neighborhoods. The building isn't huge, but it fits the classrooms we need for the different ages. In the mornings, you can see parents dropping their children off on scooters or bikes before they head to work. We try to keep things organized, but with kids, there is always a bit of a mess here and there. Dehradun weather is usually okay, but when the monsoon hits, everything gets a bit damp and we have to keep everyone inside. The teachers here are practical people who just want to get through the day's lessons without too much trouble. We have a playground that is mostly dirt and some grass, which the kids seem to enjoy regardless. It is just a local school where we do our best with what we have. There are no fancy gadgets in every room, just chalkboards and desks and the sound of children learning their ABCs or math. It is a simple life here at the school, and we just keep things moving one day at a time.
