S N Memorial Public School is right here in Prem Nagar, Dehradun. The air is a bit cooler here than down in the plains, and we have a nice view of the green hills on clear days. We’ve been operating in the 248007 area for a good while now. It’s a neighborhood school where most of the kids live within a short walking distance. You’ll see them in their uniforms every morning walking down the narrow lanes of Prem Nagar. Our building is simple and functional, with enough rooms for all the grades. We have a few trees in the courtyard where the kids hang out and play during their lunch break. We don’t do big fancy presentations for the parents. Usually, they just come by the office to talk to us if there’s a problem or if they have a question about the fees for the next month. We follow the standard curriculum and try to make sure everyone stays on track with their lessons. The teachers are mostly women from the local area who have been with us for several years. It feels more like a big family than a business to be honest. We have old wooden desks and cupboards full of records and papers. It's a bit cramped sometimes when everyone is inside, but we make it work. We focus on the basics like reading, writing, and math. We aren't trying to be the most expensive school in the city. We just want to be a reliable place.
