Rajkhand Upmanyu School

Rajkhand Upmanyu School is located at 122- Mi in Dehradun City. Being right in the heart of the city means there is always something going on nearby. The building itself is an older structure, and you can feel that history when you walk through the halls. The rooms are a bit narrow, and the ceilings are high. We have wooden cupboards filled with old registers and textbooks that have been used by many students over the years. It’s not the quietest place because of the city traffic, but the kids seem to get used to the hum of Dehradun outside. We have a small area where we keep some sports equipment, mostly just balls and bats for the kids to use. The teachers here have a very straightforward way of doing things. They come in, set up their boards, and start the day’s work without much fuss. We don’t have air conditioning or anything like that; we just rely on the fans and the way the air moves through the building. The students come from all parts of the city, some taking the local transport and others being dropped off by their parents. It’s a busy, functional place that serves the people living in the center of Dehradun. We spend our time making sure the registers are marked and the lessons are finished before the day ends. It’s just a regular school doing its daily job.
