North Point School

North Point School sits right on the Main Rajpur Road in Dehradun City. Being in Dehradun, we get some nice weather, though the rains can be a bit much sometimes in the monsoon. The school has a long history in this spot and many generations of families have walked through these doors. It’s a sturdy building that’s seen a lot of use over the years. We keep the classrooms tidy and the grounds maintained, though there’s always a wall that needs painting or a desk that needs fixing. The staff here are mostly locals who understand how things work in this part of town. We don’t go in for anything too modern or complicated; we just stick to the books and the lessons. Students come from all over Dehradun, arriving by bus or being dropped off near the main entrance. It’s a familiar sight for anyone living on Rajpur Road. During the day, you’ll hear the teachers talking and the occasional sound of a bell ringing for the next period. We have a small staff room where we drink tea and talk about the day’s work. There is a sense of routine that keeps the place going from Monday to Saturday every week. It isn’t a fancy institution, just a local school where we try to do right by the families who trust us with their kids. We focus on the basics and making sure the children are safe while they are with us.
