Mussoorie Modern School

Mussoorie Modern School is tucked away on Moti Lal Nehru Road within the Chaman Estate. It’s a spot that has been part of Mussoorie for quite some time. The school building sits on the hill and you have to walk up Moti Lal Nehru Road to get to us. Chaman Estate is a bit of a quiet patch, which helps when the kids are trying to study. We aren't a huge school, but we have enough room for all the different grades to have their own space. The classrooms are pretty basic with standard desks and boards. We have a small playground area where the kids spend their breaks, though it can get a bit windy up here. The teachers at Mussoorie Modern School are mostly locals who know the area well. We don't have any fancy mission statements or corporate logos plastered everywhere. It’s just a school where we try to keep things organized and the students focused. Sometimes the monkeys around Chaman Estate cause a bit of a distraction, but that’s just life in Mussoorie. We handle the daily tasks of teaching and grading papers without making a big fuss about it. It’s a simple, honest place for education on Moti Lal Nehru Road. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every term. The school year follows the mountain weather and we just adjust to whatever comes our way. It is a good place to be for those who like the quiet.
