Marshall School

Marshall School is situated right at 40 East Canal Road. It’s an address that most people around here know by heart. The school isn't trying to be anything other than a place for local kids to get their education. Being on East Canal Road means we have a bit of a view of the water sometimes, depending on where you are in the building. The structure at number 40 has seen a lot of students pass through its doors over the years. Inside, you’ll find rows of desks and teachers who have been part of the Marshall School family for a long time. It’s a bit of a no-nonsense environment. We have our morning assemblies and our afternoon sports, and everything in between is just standard school work. The floors are a bit creaky in some spots and the windows can be stubborn to open, but it’s a solid building. We don't have a giant marketing budget or a shiny website. We just rely on being a steady part of the neighborhood on East Canal Road. Most of the families around here have some connection to the school, whether they went here themselves or know someone who does. It’s just a regular, working school day after day. We keep the registers updated and make sure the bells ring on time. Sometimes the traffic on East Canal Road makes it hard to hear the teacher but we've all gotten used to it. We keep our records in a small office near the main gate.
