Guru Kripa Fast Food & Restaurant

Working near the Vidhansabha Bhawan in Dehradun is interesting because there is always some security or some VIP moving around. Our place is on Mdda Rad in Ajabpur Kalan. It’s a part of town that has grown a lot lately. The road gets quite narrow with all the cars and bikes, especially when the assembly is in session. We have a combined fast food and restaurant setup here. It’s nothing special to look at from the outside, just a regular building with a sign. Inside, we try to keep things organized, but it gets messy when we are busy. Dehradun rain is no joke, and when it pours, the water splashes right up to the doorstep. We spend a lot of time mopping the floor on those days. The staff is mostly local guys who have been with us since we opened. We don’t have a big menu, just the things we know how to make well. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the traffic go by on the road. Other days, we don't even have time to sit down for a minute. We don't use any fancy equipment, just the basic stuff you'd find in any kitchen. It’s a living, and we just keep the doors open and wait for the next person to walk in. That’s how it goes for us in Ajabpur Kalan. We don't worry about much else besides getting the daily prep done and keeping the stove lit.
