Doon Global School

We've been situated out here at the 14th Mile Stone on Chakrata Road for a good number of years now. If you know the Jhajra area in Dehradun, you know it's a bit away from the main city rush which is actually quite nice for a school setting. Our building isn't anything super modern or flashy, but it’s sturdy and does the job for the students who come here every morning. Most of our staff are locals from around Dehradun, so they understand the families here and what they expect. We have the usual setup with classrooms, a small library, and some space for the kids to run around during their breaks. It gets quite busy around 8:00 AM when the buses start rolling in through the gates. We don't really go for all those fancy high-tech gadgets you see in big city schools; we just focus on the textbooks and making sure the lessons are understood. Sometimes the monkeys from the nearby trees cause a bit of a stir, but that's just part of life in this part of the state. We try to keep the place clean, though the dust from the road is a constant battle. It’s a straightforward place to work and learn. We don't spend much time on fancy brochures or websites. We’re usually just busy keeping the classes on schedule and making sure everyone is where they should be. It’s honest work, and we’re glad to be part of the community here.
