About Col Brown Cambridge School – Education in Dehradun
It’s been quite a while since Col Brown Cambridge School first opened up here on Dick Road. If you walk through Dalanwala, you’ve probably seen the gates. We’ve got plenty of old trees around the place, and honestly, the shade is nice when the sun gets too hot in the afternoons. It’s a boarding school, so there’s always something going on with the boys. They wake up early, get their exercise in, and then it’s straight to the classrooms. The buildings have that old-fashioned look to them, which we try to keep up as best as we can. Maintenance is a bit of a job, but it’s worth it. We aren't trying to be the fanciest place in town, just a steady spot where students can actually learn something and grow up a bit. Most of the staff have been here for years and they know the corners of this campus like the back of their hands. Some days are louder than others, especially when there’s a match on the field. You can hear the shouting all the way down the road. It feels like a small village inside these walls. We mostly just focus on getting through the term and making sure the kids are doing their work. There’s always some laundry hanging out or a gardener trimming the hedges. It’s a busy life here in Post Box-31, but it’s a good one for the most part. Every year we see new faces and say goodbye to old ones.
