Nbpo Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited

Our little setup is located at North Kotia Jote in Nakshalbari. We use a space care of Sudip Bakshi to handle the business side of things for Nbpo Agro Farmers Producer Company Limited. Being in the Darjeeling district, we are surrounded by a lot of greenery, but the work is still tough. We are a group of local farmers who decided to pool our resources together. It’s much better than trying to sell things individually. Nakshalbari is a place with a lot of history, and we are just trying to build a decent future for our kids through the land. We don't have a marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us talking to neighbors and working the soil every day. The weather can be a bit unpredictable, which makes the harvest a gamble sometimes. We spend a lot of time at the post office or meeting near the local market to discuss what’s going on. It’s a straightforward operation. We grow our stuff, we pack it, and we try to get a fair price. Some days are longer than others, especially when we have to prep the ground for a new season. We’ve learned a lot by just doing the work ourselves and making mistakes along the way. It’s not a polished business, just a group of people from the Jote who know their way around a farm. We stay busy and try to keep things moving. There is always a tractor needing fix.
