Kandung Floriculture And Agro Producer is situated in a very specific part of the Darjeeling district. We are in Upper Kandung Forest, which is a village area near Kalijhora. It’s a beautiful place to work, but it can be quite a challenge because of the terrain and the weather. We focus on flowers and other agro products that grow well in this mountain climate. Our office is just a simple building in the village, nothing fancy at all. We spend a lot of our time out in the forest or in the small plots where the flowers are being grown. Life moves a bit slower up here compared to the plains, and we like it that way. Most of the people working here are locals from the Busty area who know the land better than anyone else. We don’t have high-speed internet or fancy office furniture. We mostly use notebooks and talk face-to-face to get things done. Sometimes the roads get blocked when there’s a heavy rain, but we are used to it by now. It’s a quiet, hardworking community, and we are just trying to make a living from what the mountains provide. It’s not a big corporate operation, just a group of people trying to manage the floriculture work in a way that makes sense for the environment we live in. We just take things one day at a time.
