Our name tells you exactly what we do. We grow makhana, maize, and rice because that is what this land is good for. Darbhanga is famous for its ponds and its makhana, and we are just a few of the people who work those waters and fields every day. We decided to put our names together on a company paper so we could help each other out with the costs of farming. It is a lot of work to harvest makhana, and it is even harder to sell it for a good price sometimes. We are not a corporate office with a lot of staff. Most of the time we are out near the water or in the fields. We meet at house number 135 to talk about our plans or to figure out how to get the maize to the market. It is a simple life and we do not have any big speeches to give. We just want to make sure the work we do pays off enough to keep the lights on. We are real people with muddy boots and tired hands.
