Keoti Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are a group of farmers from Kaem Chak Majhigama in the Keoti area of Darbhanga. We run all our activities from Bharat Kumar Yadav’s place. It’s a local thing, just people from around the neighborhood coming together to make things a little easier for everyone. We don’t have any fancy office furniture or a big neon sign out front. Most people know where we are because our families have been here for generations. We spend our time in the fields or sitting around on the porch talking about the crops and the rain. Darbhanga is where we belong, and we’re just trying to make the most of the land we have. It’s not a fast-paced life like you see on television. We follow the seasons and the weather day by day. When it’s time to sow the seeds, we’re all out there from dawn, and when it’s time to harvest, we’re even busier. We aren't a big corporation. We’re just a producer company made of regular people who understand what it’s like to work in the dirt and the heat. Sometimes we have meetings to discuss grain prices or new tools, but it’s all very informal and quiet. We just want to make sure everyone in the group is doing okay and the work is getting finished before the storms come. It’s a simple life, and we don’t try to make it sound like something it isn't. We’re just here in Keoti, doing what needs to be done.
